Description

The Role:

The primary role of the Swiss Machine Programmer is to develop new or improve existing programs to produce parts per JPMC’s customer expectations.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions:

  • Program Swiss machines using CAD/CAM
  • Communicate clearly with Set Up personnel to establish a highly efficient setup and stable production.
  • Identify tooling that will be needed for production.
  • Blueprint reading and understanding.
  • Create tooling sheets
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Effectively manage programming backlog to keep ahead of production
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned

Qualifications:

  • CAD/CAM proficiency
  • Ability to use and understand measurement gauges/systems (Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, and Vision systems etc.)
  • Understand Swiss machining processes
  • Minimum of three years’ programming experience

  • Extensive knowledge of machining speeds and feeds
  • CAD/CAM proficiency

  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
